Roséxpo: 3rd edition of the International Rosè Wines Exhibition

The 3rd edition of ROSÉXPO, “International Rosé Wines Exhibition” organized by “deGusto Salento” – the Negroamaro producers association, supported by the Municipality of Lecce – scheduled on 3rd-5th June 2016 is introducing interesting rosé wines tastings in the wonderful Carlo V Castle in Lecce.

Not only is Roséxpo about rosé wines, but it is also the place where culture welcomes its audience with lights, sounds, traditions, works of art, books, aperitifs and gourmet suggestions, in a dynamic social context with more than 150 Italian references to taste and 46 foreign ones coming from 14 different areas. Masterclasses, tastings, seminars for wine lovers and experts have been scheduled for this event, as well as the best selection of rosé wines by Varvaglione.

This is one of the most important events that joins Apulia with the rosé wine world in Lecce. Also, this 2016 Roséxpo is including the collaboration of “Radici del Sud”, one of the most dynamic institutions to promote the wine and food knowledge. Dorina Bianchi – undersecretary of the Cultural Heritage Ministry – is cutting the ribbon for the 2016 edition and she is taking part in the conference about “The value of rosé wine”.

Ilaria Donateo – president of “deGusto Salento”, the association of Negromaro producers – is another important person participating at this international exhibition and she says: «Roséxpo aims at enhancing rosé wines starting from the experience of Salento and promoting the comparison with other varieties and areas from Italy and the world. In our policy, the comparison with other realities we are linked to and thanks to which we can tell about wines starting from their lands is essential».

There will be three taste itineraries coordinated by Slow Wine and with the collaboration of the Italian Sommeliers Association (AIS) and Radici del Sud. The first date for all wine lovers will be on Saturday 04/06 at 6:30 p.m. in Pignatelli room at Carlo V Castle. The following day, on Sunday 05/06 at 6:00 p.m. in Pignatelli room at Carlo V Castle, there will be a technical tasting of rosé wines coming from different world countries and commented by Fabio Giavedoni and Giuseppe Baldassarre, member of the national commission of the AIS didactics.
