The new “Margrande – Fiano del Salento IGP,” presented by the Salento winery Varvaglione Vigne & Vini in September 2014, immediately aroused the curiosity of many lovers of fine Italian wine.
What captured the interest of Franco Ziliani, along with that of many enthusiasts of Apulian wines, was the curiosity to discover how Fiano del Salento embodies the distinctive characteristics of the Salento territory, thus setting itself apart from other varieties of the Fiano family cultivated in other Italian regions.
As a discerning critic, he shared his personal opinion following a careful tasting of this new and distinctive wine.
Franco Ziliani’s commentary is available at the following link.
