The 2016 Mundus Vini awarded the wines by Varvaglione
Mundus Vini – the most important wine exhibition among the ones taking place in Germany – awarded a lot of wines from Italy, as well as from Apulia.
5,128 wines from 38 different countries and, in particular, from 149 international wine regions participated to this 18th edition. In four days, such wines were evaluated by international judges made of 160 tasters, including oenologists, sommeliers, buyers and wine journalists.
This year, more than in the past, the quality of wines was really excellent, as shown by the high number of medals awarded.
The most awarded Italian regions include Apulia with its 59 wines winning a medal. Among them, ‘PAPALE-PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP’ and ‘PAPALE LINEA ORO-PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP’ by the prestigious Salentine winery Varvaglione were awarded a Silver Medal.
The success of wines from Apulia and Salento has been confirmed and Varvaglione’s team are proud of it.
