A great success at the “2016 Cibus in Parma” for Varvaglione. Now, see you in Hong Kong!
The 18th edition of “Cibus in Parma” – the international food exhibition organized by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare – closed on 12th May with 3,000 exhibitors on an area of 130,000 m2, 16,000 foreign operators and 2,200 top buyers. Furthermore, 72,000 visitors attended the 2016 Cibus – a record for this international food exhibition.
Cibus in Parma was a big international showcase, where Italian and Apulian DOP and IGP excellences could introduce new products.
This was the best edition ever, following Expo2015 and introducing around a thousand new products from the agribusiness field, ready to both enter foreign markets and strengthen the domestic market.
Even though it was a food exhibition, a great attention was also focused on wines. In fact, good business was made about that.
An excellent test for Varvaglione wines, as well as for their new entry labels that confirmed their versatility of matching with local food from both Apulia and Emilia Romagna. Some good examples are “prosciutto di Parma” matched with “12 e mezzo-Negroamaro del Salento IGP” and “Parmigiano Reggiano” matched with “Papale Linea Oro-Primitivo di Manduria DOP”.
A high turnout and a lots of curiosity from consumers confirmed the great success of the whole event.
Varvaglione thanks all participants and those who helped making this exhibition an important event for the Apulian wine field.
